My work has been drying up slowly but steadily for a long time but especially since I got out of the hospital. While I wait for SSI to process I’m gonna need help making meager ends meet. Do you need an experienced audio engineer and producer to make your music sound…
Thanks for all the reblogs but I’m not in the clear. Hospital bills keep arriving and until medical assistance happens I’m scared stiff at the prospect of paying them four times what I made this year. Please keep sharing! I appreciate all the donations but I am still f-bombed financially and every bit of help counts.
I’m still waiting on my determination and its not gonna be for months probably. Any help counts! I really don’t have anywhere else to turn so yeah. Please keep sharing and donating and help me get through this!
My work has been drying up slowly but steadily for a long time but especially since I got out of the hospital. While I wait for SSI to process I’m gonna need help making meager ends meet. Do you need an experienced audio engineer and producer to make your music sound perfect, or private lessons so that u can do it yourself? Do u need a Dj or do u want to learn how or are u interested in my large classic EDM vinyl collection or music equipment? I have done everything I can to support the Pittsburgh music community for years but I cannot afford to keep struggling like this without support in return. Shit is tough like you have no idea as a disabled trans woman unless you are in my shoes or similar heels you just don’t know how hard it is. I am also accepting donations by PayPal at email@example.com but I’m quite happy to make your donation worth your while. This is really scary to ask but since my experiences getting help at WPIC I know that it’s not gonna get better unless I reach out. Please share freely. Thanks, Alexis
In the Next 75 days, there is a public Thanksgiving and Christmas an New Year’s Eve for all Trans people that need to happen (standard TIH events), as well as the Day of Remembrance. Normally I would be busy planning them and going around getting donations and asking for some stuff to make that possible.
Thanksgiving involves feeding the residents and anyone who wants to come by and enjoy good company and have fun while eating good food. On average, that runs around 35 people — with leftovers always going to feed the residents in the days after.
Christmas involves the same thing, *plus* we try to have presents for all the residents (who often are having their first christmas as themselves), and for anyone who stops by.
On top of that, we have the usual bills to pay.
So right now, the thing that would help the most, is if folks could help us raise 2000 dollars in the next 15 days a well as secure donations for turkeys, hams, and foodstuffs.
That would free me from having to worry about all of that, which is weighing *really* heavily on my mind and not helping me to stay focused on stuff.
You can donate to me personally at any time, but paypal is still the best and easiest way: www.thisishow.org, and the email you can use is firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can mail stuff to 2308 E Monterosa St, Phoenix, AZ 85016.
Something about Dave is involved here. Not only has he been the person who gets me everywhere I need to go, he’s always there for things, and he probably has donated 300 or so a month for years now.
Which is just the start: his large donation of 5 grand way, way back in the earliest days is what allowed This Is HOW to get started.
So please help out there — it would mean a lot to a lot of people, and relieve a major stressor in my life right now.
Dave has a really serious form of brain cancer. He made it through the surgery to take out an enormous tumor, but the prognosis for this type of cancer means he has, at best, 18 months, and that’s with aggressive Chemo and radiation.
He is my heart, and he’s the reason I have a roof and a home and can keep doing what I do when I get only 400 a month, so this is a big and enormous deal for me.
This won’t solve most of my problems, but it will take care of one that I will be distracted by frequently. Please share this broadly, and know that every single dollar is treated miserly and that all of it goes to covering the needs of trans people directly.
